We hand over the Kickleberry we found in the beginning of the Dragonfly Forest. : Me hungry, hungry! Me want Kickleberry! Gimme, gimme! Meet Yami one of the Forest people inhabiting the Spider Forest. They have Vahlis/Ulvis and a Water/Earth Attack attached to Horn/Tail. They are basically the non unique versions of Arpatron. You can find both Rugdogle (a middle of the line Earth minion) and Radgore the water version of Rugdogle here. Here you see the first minion spawn of the forest.
He is currently a middle of the line merge with access to both all water spells (Vahli, Vahlis, Medina) and a Water Attack. He also has all air spells currently available namely Malti, Maltis and Ad Slahm. Therefore he has a strong magic grow and decent speed. He is a mix between Maskhira and Hiralco. He brings with him to the table Fang: Earth Attack and the Foot: All enemies. His grows are skewered towards physical attack. As such he has high physical attack power and defense. He is the combination of Riggu and Terfrayd. Here are the minions that accompany us on our wayįirst off is Rigfrayd. Today well see if his words were the truth by entering the Spider Forest. We learned from Kikinak that the Calabas is in the hands of Yamu in the Spider Forest who really is Mammon the Divine Spirit of Greed.

I think I'm going to replay the first one.Welcome back after an extended period of downtime for which Im truly sorry. What is left its a shallow Pokémon rip-off. I'm quite sure they just cut that due to scheduling problems. the monsters don't change their shape anymore. The whole selling point of the franchise is that you can merge monsters and make unique combinations. What really takes the cake is the monster breeding system. It's not necessarily worse than in JC1, but also not better. The combat system is nothing to write home about. No consistent world and hardly any story to talk about. Well, in JC2 you are a probably elementary school-age kid who wants to be the BEST COCOON MASTER EVER! You don't have a village to protect, you just magically travel from the Pokécenter Temple (shopping mall included) to different story-less tiny floating forests in space. There was a consistent world with a backstory and mysterious ruins. You married you childhood love, just to see her suffer while trying to protect your village. In JC1 you were a teenager just coming off age to step into the footsteps of your disgraced father. When you start a new game, you don't get a mysterious introduction by an old Nagi Prophet, but instead are greeted by a childish, nosy fairy.Īfter suffering through that, you realize that this time they tried to keep their story more in line with Pokémon. Well, the first punch in the face when booting up JC2 comes with the intro: No hand-drawn, fast paced Princess Mononoke-style anime trailer, but a painfully slow text crawl. It's not the deepest RPG with the best gameplay, but just imagine: A Pokémon clone where you can create your own mosters that has cutscenes and character protraits created by members of Studio Ghibli! I really liked the first part for the PS1.
